‘Pedigree Plus’ – an interactive pedigree program on CD which is infinitely expandable and offers :

1. Viewer Module ~ producing and printing not only five generation pedigrees with a colour image of a dog, but pictorial images and complete records of its antecedents and its adult progeny. Also contains some moving images of dogs taken as clips from video or old cine footage.

2. Writer Module ~ allows users to add their own information.

3. Genetic Module ~ allows the use of Wright’s COI and the easy search and explore function of a dogs genetic profile for a chosen number of generations.

‘The Afghan Global Database’ – accessed through the Pedigree Plus programme is the collaborative endeavour of Breed Associations, Councils and Clubs of America, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Finland, Germany, Holland, Ireland, South Africa and the United Kingdom.

The Database holds a complete record of UK Champions and is updated each year to be available at Crufts. The development of the programme is the work of programmer Alex Ip (Australia) and the updating of the data is largely achieved through the work of Pat Egan (Australia) and Susan Rhodes (UK).

The price of the viewer/database combined which includes the printing facility remains £42 sterling and this and other modules are available through Susan Rhodes.
